〜からこそ
N2precisely because, it is because (X) that
Formation: plain form + からこそ; N / な-adj + だからこそ; often ends with 〜のだ/のです
〜からこそ stresses that X is the real reason for Y, and not something else. It often overturns what the listener might expect: it is because you're a good friend that I'm being harsh. The speaker is strongly asserting the reason, so the sentence often ends in のだ or のです. The reason is usually something the speaker values rather than a trivial or embarrassing cause. It is used in both speech and writing, and it cannot be combined with ので (not のでこそ). 〜だけに also links a reason to a result but means 'all the more because, as you'd expect'. 〜ばかりに blames one small cause for a bad result. The literary 〜ばこそ has the same meaning as からこそ but is formal.
Variants: だからこそ、〜ばこそ (literary)
