〜からすると/からすれば
N2judging from; from the standpoint of
Formation: N + からすると/からすれば/からしたら
This pattern has two uses. It can give the evidence for a guess (judging from X), or it can take someone's point of view (from X's standpoint). In the first use, the main clause is usually a judgment or guess, often ending in だろう, らしい or に違いない. It is not used for requests or for what the speaker intends to do. The pattern is neutral in register; からすれば is slightly more written and からしたら more spoken. Compare it with 〜からして: that pattern picks out one typical detail (名前からして怪しい, even the name is suspicious). 〜から言うと/から言えば states a criterion or field and does not normally follow a person. 〜にしたら/にすれば only takes a person's point of view, usually imagining how someone else feels.
Variants: からすれば、からしたら、からすると
