N2as if (I would)!; certainly not
Formation: V-dictionary / i-adj + ものか; na-adj + な + ものか; N + な + ものか; V-ない + ものか (wish: 'isn't there some way')
Strongly and emotionally denies or refuses something, as if to say 'no way' or 'as if!'. It is spoken: もんか is casual, もんですか or ものですか is softer, and in writing it shows a character's feelings. When used about the speaker's own actions, it expresses a firm refusal A separate use, 〜ないものか or 〜ないものだろうか, expresses a strong wish that something could somehow be done. Compared with 〜まい, which is calm and literary, and 〜わけがない, which judges logically that something is impossible, ものか is a heated personal reaction.
Examples
As if I'd ever see such a rude person again! - 「
"Are you OK?" "Far from it. My foot hurts so much I can't walk." -
Isn't there some way to put a stop to this conflict?
