〜にかけては
N2when it comes to (a skill or ability), X is second to none
Formation: N + にかけては; N + にかけても
〜にかけては picks out a field of skill or ability and praises someone's excellence in it. It is typically followed by phrases like 誰にも負けない, 右に出る者はいない or 一流だ. It can be used about others or, with confidence, about oneself, and it sounds natural in both speech and writing. Unlike 〜に関して, which neutrally marks a topic, 〜にかけては sets up a high evaluation of ability, so it does not suit negative or neutral statements. Do not confuse it with 〜から〜にかけて, which marks a range of time or place.
Variants: にかけても
