Formation: N + に関して（は／も）; N + に関する + N; N + に関しての + N

〜に関して marks the topic that a statement, question, study or discussion is about. It is a more formal version of 〜について and is common in business, news, academic writing and official explanations. Before a noun, use に関する (or the slightly more casual に関しての), as in 環境に関する調査. Compare 〜をめぐって, which is used for topics surrounded by dispute or competing views, and 〜に対して, which marks the target of an action or attitude rather than a subject of discussion.

• この件に関して、会社側からの説明はまだない。
  There has still been no explanation from the company regarding this matter.
• 来月、環境問題に関する講演会が開かれる。
  A lecture on environmental issues will be held next month.
• 個人情報の取り扱いに関しては、細心の注意を払っている。
  We take great care in how we handle personal information.
