N2

as (X changes, Y changes too); in accordance with, following

〜に従って has two meanings. First, proportional change: as X progresses, Y changes along with it, and both clauses express gradual change Second, following or obeying: acting in accordance with instructions, rules, a person or one's feelings It is neutral to formal, and に従い is the more written form. 〜につれて can only express the first, proportional-change meaning, never 'obey'. 〜に伴って is more formal and stresses that two changes happen together. For the 'following' meaning, 〜に沿って suggests keeping in line with a plan or policy, while に従って suggests obeying or complying with it.
