N1not only (X), but also (Y)
Says that something is not limited to X and also applies to Y, so the scope is wider than expected. The second clause usually has も or a word like まで. It is a formal written pattern, common in newspapers, reports and speeches, and sounds stiff in conversation, where だけでなく is the normal choice. 〜ばかりか means the same but is more emotional and often moves to a surprising or more extreme Y. 〜に限らず takes only nouns and stresses that something is not restricted to one category, while のみならず can follow whole clauses. At the start of a sentence, のみならず works like a formal 'moreover'.
